30 days in the dark.

How would you like to go 30 days in the dark? Most people would say no thank you, but I met someone who is going to do it on purpose.
Brian Lane is going 30 days in the dark to help bring awareness to a cause very dear to him.
Brian is the founder of FiftyTwo4Mom a non-profit organization to help raise funds for optic nerve disorders awareness and research. Why did Brian start this organization? His mother has this disorder.
When I found out about his project I wanted to help.  Saturday Brian and myself went to Royal Oak to hang out for a while doing some of the things Brian would normally do only wearing his masks. Suddenly browsing the racks in a favorite store, window shopping, and even opening doors became a whole different reality.
I'm very impressed with what Brian is about to do and wish him only the best of luck. So if you see him roaming around town stop and ask how he's doing and help if you can.

Love in the D

Nicole and Drew are getting married. When I asked Nicole do you know where you want your pictures taken; she immediately said Comerica Park. Nicole is a die hard Tigers fan and loves baseball in general. So that's what we did.
After our little walk about in Detroit we headed to the woods for a few nature shots.
Drew is a little on the shy side but once he started to open up he has a fabulous smile and very cute sense of humor.
I can't wait for the Wedding in May.

Duck, duck, walleye?

Bob from Wood'N Decoys has been a busy man.
Yesterday he brought 18 more works of art to photograph. Bob hand carves and paints wooden decoys. He has also started commissioning fish and other birds. Bob does incredible work and is an all around nice guy. In love with love.

I'm in love with love, or should I say with people in love. To me there is nothing better.
The moment right before the kiss, the laughter, the look on a Mothers face when she sees her daughter in her gown. A bride so gitty because she can hardly believe she just married her best friend. And of coarse the moment a father realizes he will never truly loose his little girl.
That's way I do what  do, I'm in love with love.

Kathleen & Jamie

Saturday I had the pleasure of spending the day with Kathleen, Jamie and their families.
You see it was a very special day, after 11 years together they tied the knot.
I think the day was so special because these two have been together for many years and the families are already close. You could feel the love, I like that feeling.
The wedding was at the beautiful St. Augustine in Richmond.Then we went to Maryville's city park for a few pictures and off to Alexanders for a fabulous celebration.
A special thanks to the wedding party, for a huge wedding party I had no trouble wrangling them together for the pictures.

Marlins invitational 2012 cancer sucks

This weekend was jam packed full. Not a wedding no family portraits, I had the pleasure of photographing the Marlins swim team.
The Macomb Marlins is the swim team my daughter swims on. And this past Saturday and Sunday they were swimming against cancer. They were all wearing cancer sucks swim caps  and looked FABULOUS. They even made the 10 o'clock news , thanks Fox 2.
They made a lot of money to donate and had a blast doing it.
Can I just say, MARLINS ROCK!

Friday the 13TH how will you look at it?

Many people are more worried today, being careful of what they do how they travel and money they spend. I'm not talking because of  the economy, today is Friday the 13TH.I truly believe it's all in how you look at things.
I learned something last year at a conference I went to and worked.
444
Why does this matter? Well if you are going to believe in Friday the 13TH, you can believe in 444.
This year we will have three Friday the 13THs. So lets look at this differently.
1+3=4
that will make three 4s =444
444 is the sign of Angels.
Again it's all in how you look at it. I'm going to look at it as this is going to be a blessed year.
