What the Duck

Thursday I had the pleasure of meeting Robert Lewis (Bob) of Wood'n Decoys and photographing his hand carved Decoys.
It was a first for me as I usually photograph people. Bob does incredible work.I learned a lot from Bob about how he creates such beautiful pieces. Some of the Decoys can take 60 plus hours to create.Truly a labor of love.

Friday favorites / wishes

Today's Friday favorite actually has two things I love . The first my Daughter, second soft golden light .My Daughter is one of those people that is game for almost anything. And when she sees the camera she just smiles. Well almost always, sometimes I will get a goofy face . But my favorite pictures of her are when she doesn't even know I'm going to take her picture. And in this light, I'm in LOVE !
I hope all her wishes come true.

Friday favorites / Whimsy

Today's Friday favorite is  whimsical.These cute little creations are all recyclable and made by elementary students.
Green Elementary has these wacky little critters on display in front of the school.
Just to look at them made me smile.

Spring has finally arrived in Michigan. And with spring comes one of my favorite things, flowering trees and bushes. The Lilacs smell the best, but there is something special about the Magnolia tree. Maybe because it makes me think about the south.

Friday Favorite

Today's Friday Favorite is  POKER.
Poker is my favorite card game, if not my favorite overall out of all games I've played.
I love poker so much all of my Wedding collections are named after poker hands.
I grew up around a poker table, don't judge it was quality family time.
My family still loves to get together for a friendly family game of Hold em.
Maybe I should come up with an ALL IN wedding collection.Stay tuned to find out .

Welcome Luke

Welcome to the world !
Today I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing Luke.
Luke is 10 days old today, practically an old man. He had a special Birthday. Luke was an Easter baby. I am sure that makes him extra special. I think maybe a super model or Baseball player. I can't make this family wait even one day so here is a teaser of the session, enjoy !
